The Ethiopia Social Accountability Program Phase 2 (ESAP-2) is part of the Promotion of Basic Services program (PBS), which is implemented by the Government at regional, woreda and kebele levels.
Financed through a World Bank -managed multi-donor trust fund, ESAP-2 is guided and supervised by a steering committee formed of representatives of the government, civil society and development partners.
A Management Agency outside the Ethiopian government structure has been established for ensuring efficient implementation of ESAP2.
The responsibilities of the Management Agency are the overall program coordination and provision of capacity development and training, technical guidance and support of the implementing civil society partners.
