12 Social Accountability Implementing Partners take part in the second round of Advanced PV training

The Management Agency of Ethiopia Social Accountability Program 2 (ESAP2) is providing advanced participatory video training to 12 Social Accountability Implementing Partners (SAIPs) from 2nd to 6th November 2015 in Addis Ababa. The main goal of the advanced training is to equip the participatory video facilitators from the SAIPs and the ESAP2 Management office with advanced skills in applying participatory video for the social accountability program.

The participants of 12 organizations, who participated in the participatory video training in March 2015, have completed their assignments between June and August 2015 and are participating in the training. Participants have obtained knowledge on how to use and apply participatory video for monitoring and evaluation processes and shared experiences on how they applied participatory video for social accountability dialogue. Four SAIPs Redeem The Generation Ethiopia, Migbare Senay Family and Children Organization, Action for Self Relience Association and Yezelalem Minch Children and Community Development, nominees of the Participatory Video Oscar, shared and presented their PV experience in the presence of a Jury. The Prize Winner of the Oscar Award competition, Redeem the Generation has been announced and rewarded during the Executive Directors Day on 4th November 2015 at Harmony Hotel. At the end of the training, participants will have obtained new skills in editing with Corel Video Studio Software.
